Kumara plicatilis
R180.00
On sale are seed grown plants, approximately 5 years old in 10cm pots.
This species was formerly called Aloe plicatilis but studies have now shown it to be distinct and thus requiring separation from the genus Aloe.
One of the most attractive plants due to its unique fan shaped leaves. This species forms a tree, reaching up to 3m in height. Plants grow favorably in areas that are subjected to hot, dry summers and wet winters but I’ve found them to tolerate summer rainfall if given sufficient drainage. It is therefor probably best suited to container growing outside of its natural range.
